About This Role
Manage vendor contracts and utility projects.
Contract encompass a wide range of activities within the utility system, including but not limited to odor control, vacuum sewer systems, and generator maintenance contracts.
Assure that support is available for the Utilities Operations Unit.
Support others in the department on complex Utility contracted services.
Make recommendations on projects and serve as a liaison between Utility Operations and other contractors.
Provide resolution of difficulties and coordination with contracted vendors.
Create training modules, solicitations, writes specifications and develops scopes.
Support for department business and strategic plan development.
Confer and coordinate with engineers, and other parties to ensure County standards and regulations are being adhered to.
Monitor monthly invoices as they apply to the contract.
Preparing trending analysis to support the project outcome.
Review plans and specifications related to utility project contracts and provides technical expertise.
Assist in preparing scopes for related tasks on utility related projects.
Requirements
About You
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Project Management, or a highly related field AND five (5) years of CIP and/or project management experience.
-OR- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Project Management, or a highly related field AND four (4) years of CIP and/or project management experience.
-OR- Job-related experience can substitute for education on a year-for-year basis depending on the type of experience.
A valid Florida driver’s license at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Lean Six Sigma green or black belt, prior hands-on experience with utility projects.
Has or the ability to acquire Pipeline Assessment Certification Program (PACP), Manhole Assessment Certification Program (MACP), and Lateral Assessment Certification Program (LACP).
Subject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment in any class for a period of five (5) years.
About Everything Else
Starting Pay Range: $71,000.00 - $86,000.00/ annually, based on experience.
